Textile Fusing Belts<\/strong><\/p>

Thickness Options<\/h3>

Textile fusing belts are available in various thicknesses to match your machine’s specifications. These belts can be installed on all types of machines suitable for thermal bonding.<\/p>

Machine Compatibility<\/h3>

Fabric fusing and laminating machines use top and bottom non-stick PTFE belts that come into contact with the fabrics to be bonded and fused. A series of pressure rollers and a bank of heaters on the inside surface of the PTFE textile fusing belt bond the fabrics together, allowing the adhesives to release and not stick to the belt’s surface.<\/p>

Size and Thickness<\/h3>

Smaller machines, with belt widths around 15.7 inches, typically use belts that are 0.25mm thick. In contrast, larger laminators, with belt widths around 78.7 inches, use belts that are 0.35mm thick for better dimensional stability.<\/p>

Belt Construction<\/h3>

Smaller belts can be offered as truly endless, meaning the fiberglass or Kevlar carrier the PTFE is coated onto is woven as a seamless loop and then coated on a specialist coating line. Other belts or materials are made in long continuous lengths and finished by making a physical joint in them.<\/p>

Joint Types<\/h3>

For jointed belts, Techbelt offers a variety of options including scarfed overlap, butt joint, or standard overlap joint. These joint types can be seen on our technical page under joint types.<\/p>

Specialized Coatings<\/h3>
