Tensilized PTFE Tape

Pressure sensitive tensilized PTFE tape uses a skived & tensilized PTFE film coated with a high temperature silicone adhesive.

The tensilized film provides a higher tensile strength, lower elongation and higher dielectric strength than regular skived film.

These tapes are primarily used in electrical applications such as coil wraps and separators, transformer, slot liners and harness wrapping where excellent insulation and heat resistance are required. They are also used in mechanical applications requiring temperature resistance and good release properties such as aerospace composites.

Applications

  • This tape is used in applications like heat sealers bars & packaging machine pressure pads, chute liners, anti-friction applications, aircraft manufacturing any application where high temperature, maximum slide are required.
  • It’s also used in electrical functions such as wrapping and separating, electrical transformers & slot liners for insulation & heat resistance.
  • Anti-stick tape for wrapping rollers, plates, belts or other parts where buildup can occur.
