Open Mesh Glass Cloth:
This type of PTFE coated glass cloth is woven into a mesh or net. There are several opening sizes available, with 0.16 inch x 0.16 inch being the most popular.
Other examples include 0.04 inch, 0.08 inch, 0.2 inch, and 0.4 inch square mesh apertures.

Closed Weave Glass Cloth:
Closed weave glass cloth materials are non-mesh types available in multiple thicknesses. Our Technical Sales team can specify the appropriate type based on your application requirements.
Closed weave glass cloth is typically woven with a “twisted yarn” for added strength, making it ideal for conveyor belt applications.
Various coating mixtures and colors are available. For instance, blue is a popular color for use in food processing lines.
PTFE Coated Glass Cloth Tapes:
These materials are similar to closed weave glass cloth but are generally thinner. They are made from a “singles” grade glass cloth, which lacks the twisting of yarns found in the stronger “twisted” grade.
This coated glass cloth is well-suited for manufacturing self-adhesive backed tapes. To achieve this, silicone or acrylic adhesive is applied to the surface. The application surface must be chemically etched to enable the adhesive to bond to the otherwise non-stick surface.
