Silicone Coated Glass Cloth
Silicone-coated glass cloth has varying thicknesses of silicone and offers high thermal conductivity, making it great for applications needing heat retention. This material provides a high-temperature surface with excellent release properties.
Applications
Because it retains heat well, silicone-coated glass cloth works well as a conveyor belt in shrink-wrap tunnels. It keeps heat on the belt’s surface, successfully shrinking the film on the underside of products that might not work as well with other belts.
This fabric is also used in heat shrink tunnel curtains, efficiently trapping heat inside the chamber.
In the chemical, rubber, plastic, electrical, and aerospace industries, silicone-coated glass cloth is useful for release and separator sheets in sticky processes and production.
Due to its high surface release, it is well-suited for use on extrusion lines where rubbers, plastics, or sticky products might stick to other belt surfaces.
Features and Benefits
Silicone-coated glass fabrics offer excellent heat, chemical, and rust resistance. The high friction (grab) of these fabrics and belts improves tracking and flexibility, making them a great choice for conveyors.
