PTFE Coated Metal Detectable Tape Blue Tefsil 3 features a PTFE/glass backing with Aluminium foil and a pressure-sensitive silicone adhesive cover with a yellow protective liner.

The PTFE/glass is ideal for non-stick surface applications on heat sealing machines, form seal equipment & blister packaging.

Other release applications could be chutes, dead plates or conveyor rails. The Aluminium foil is perfect for being identified by metal detector equipment should the tape become worn or fall from its work surface.

The roll length on this product is 30 meter.

A silicone adhesive backing applied to the Aluminium foil allows for reliable bonding to the work area.

This product meets the relevant requirements laid down in the Regulation (EC) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and in articles 3, 11(5), 15 and 17 of the Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, provided that the food contact is limited to the non-adhesive side.
On the pre-condition that the product is used according to its specification global and specific migration shall meet the legal requirements.
One-sided migration tests on the non-adhesive side have been performed according to Regulation (EC) No. 10/2011 and the LFGB (Lebensmittel, Bedarfsgegenstände und Futtermittelgesetzbuch) by Intertek Consumer Goods GmbH, Würzburger Str.
152, 90766 Fürth / Deutschland; Test Report No. FUFDC 1308655 under the following conditions

Further tests have been performed on specific migration of formaldehyde, primary aromatic amines, specific migration of flouride, migration of metals, screening of organic phenolic compounds, screening of a migrate on volatile substances and sensory testing with positive results. Coated Metal Detectable Tape: This product is suitable for all kinds of foodstuff in the temperature range of -40°C to +260°C. Please do not fold or crease the material, do not use scrapers or brushes for cleaning and avoid food contact with the adhesive side.
This product is manufactured under the certified quality management system according to ISO 9001:2008 according to the rules for good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food as described in regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006
Important Storage / Shelf Life and Application Information
• Storage:
We strongly recommend that Techbelt silicone PSA tapes are stored at room temperature conditions of 21⁰C (70⁰F) and 50% relative humidity and should be protected from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Shelf Life:
If stored correctly, these products retain their performance and properties for 6 months from date of manufacture.
• Surfaces:
The surfaces of the materials to be bonded must be dry and clean. Condensation of moisture on surfaces to be bonded (e. g. when carrying cold objects into a warmer room) must be avoided. The materials to be bonded must be free from dust, grease, oil and separating agents and cleaned if necessary.
• Cleaning:
For cleaning the surfaces only use a clean cloth and a solvent that is compatible with the materials, e. g. benzines, alcohol, esters or ketones.
